Black to dark olive green lustrous rice-grain Mottramite crystals as single crystals, small clusters and crusts principally over fractures in the Quartz matrix with a little pyromorphite. Collected in the 1990's from this obscure and out of bounds locality which produced the best Mottramite samples from the Caldbeck Fells from a small vein outcrop/trial working. The composition of the 'Pyromorphite' from here is variable with the yellow material being either Pyromorphite or Mimetite. The outer cream layer tends to have an increasing amount of Vanadium until it transitions to Vanadinite.
