Simple cubic crystals of Galena to 15mm on pyramidal Quartz crystals encrusting the rock matrix. A second generation of small Quartz crystals coat the Galena, which has undergone alteration where this is broken/absent.  Small micros of yellow Pyromorphite are scattered across the quartz.  Large crystals of Galena are rare from the Lake District.
