A relatively large for the location cubic crystal of pale yellowish Fluorite 35mm on its longest edge. Most of the faces are coated with limonitic micro Quartz crystals. As is usual for dump material there is bruising to some edges but it is still a good location piece.
Old Brandlehow Mine is noted as the only Lake District mine to have abundant Fluorite in the deposit. After a 100+ years on the dumps the remaining Fluorite on the dumps tends to be badly damaged and corroded.
