A large display specimen consisting of a crust of Cerussite crystals on the top surfaces of a shale matrix. The Cerussite has an unusual pale yellow colour towards the ends of the crystals - this could be something to do with the formation of Pyromorphite but the colour goes through the crystals and is not a surface skin of Pyromorphite. A good and rare (for its size) location piece from the historic Shropshire lead mining area.
